CGI has worked extensively in the banking and financial services field.  Our expert team has experience working with large international banking and finance companies.

Security and reliability are top concerns of any IT director and bank officers.  Community banks face the same issues as any large national bank.  Community banks deal with similar issues on a smaller scale and complexity but with a greater burden by having less staff.

CGI has worked with our clients to be compliant with various state and national charter regulations.  As well, we have assisted clients with SAS-70 security and controls on its information technology and related processes.  SAS-70 certification ensures that outside suppliers for banks and other publicly traded companies have the same stringent control over information once it leaves the bank's domain.

CGI can assist your bank with services tailored to unique needs.

IT Infrastructure and Network Audit

Our most comprehensive review of a bank's infrastructure to ensure that it is capable for security, performance, control, manageability.

Some major elements in our audit include:

Security
Does the network have adequate controls in place to maintain security?  Are administrators notified when unusual activities occur?  Is there a log of all activities?

Performance and Availability
Are critical systems performing to required service levels?  How are data processing and network service levels defined?

Backup and Disaster Recovery
Are backup systems regularly tested? Are backups encrypted?  Is the offsite location for backup as secure as the data processing center? Are disaster recovery plans regularly updated and tested?

Manageability
Are the people and process in place to ensure the sustainability of the current system?  Is there sufficient investment in training to ensure growth in IT capability?
